Academy Challenges provide opportunities for STARFLEET members to investigate scientific topics, explore new ideas, and put their knowledge and creativity to work. Challenges may examine real-world science and technology, explore the science behind concepts familiar to Star Trek fans, or encourage members to learn more about the universe around us.
Each challenge is different. Some may take place over several weeks, while others may focus on a particular subject, activity, or scientific question. Participation is open to members interested in learning and exploring—no scientific background is required.
