Performance Awards
STARFLEET Sciences Performance Awards recognize members, liaisons, chapters, and regions for outstanding service, participation, and contributions to Sciences.
Review the awards and nomination requirements below, then submit an Award Nomination Form for an eligible candidate.
The Uhura Award
The nominee must have exhibited performance excellence above and beyond their duties over a period of six months to one year. Examples include submitting articles to the Event Horizon Newsletter, posting on STARFLEET Sciences social media, and/or conducting outreach on behalf of Sciences.

Sciences/Sol Liaison of the Month
Awarded monthly to a Regional Sciences or Sol Liaison who has shown exemplary service in promoting the sciences within their Region and sharing the great work of their Region with Sciences. Sol Liaisons are recognized for their contribution to the Sol Speaker Series by helping to bring in speakers from their Regional areas and promoting the series.

This prestigious annual award is given to a Regional Sciences or Sol Liaison who has shown consistent dedication and excellence in promoting the sciences and the Sol Speaker Series within their Chapter or Region. Their conduct has been exemplary and represents the highest ideals of Star Trek.
Presented during the annual International Conference.

Science Officer of the Month
Awarded monthly to a Science Officer of a chapter of STARFLEET who has shown exemplary service in promoting the sciences within their Chapter or Region.
This award gives its holder the exclusive right to park their shuttle at the STARFLEET Sciences Headquarters VIP docking bay for thirty days.

Science Officer of the Year
This prestigious annual award is given to a Science Officer of a chapter of STARFLEET who has shown consistent dedication and excellence in promoting the sciences within their Chapter or Region. Their conduct has been exemplary and represents the highest ideals of Star Trek.

Regional Science Liaison or RC / Director of Sciences

Region of the Year — Sciences
This annual award recognizes the Region in STARFLEET that has outstanding participation by its Chapters in the area of Sciences. This Region serves as an inspiration to all of STARFLEET for its contribution to promoting education and opportunities to its members in the area of the Sciences.

Regional Science Liaison or RC / Director of Sciences

The Richard Heim Award
Awarded by the Director of STARFLEET Sciences to a staff member who has displayed exemplary dedication and service to the Auxiliary. The staff member reflects the ideals of Star Trek and serves as an inspiration to others.
This award is named in honor of Admiral Richard Heim (Region 1), who has given decades of service to promoting Sciences in STARFLEET.
