  • Regional Science Liaisons

    Liaisons are STARFLEET Science members who are appointed by the Director of STARFLEET Sciences for the following roles:

    • Regional Science Liaisons (RSLs) are responsible for their Regional Science departments.
    • Regional Sol Liaisons are focused solely on finding speakers for their regions.

    Regional Science Liaison
    The Liaisons Serve as a direct connection between SFSCI and their Region Chapters. They provide an important pathway to disseminate information region-wide and help the SFSCI staff understand how we can best serve the sciences needs of our members. We are looking for people who enjoy working with others and can help strengthen our connection with SFI members.

    Regional Sol Speaker Series Liaison
    Our Liaisons will identify skilled presenters in various science disciplines in their regions and work with Sciences Director in corresponding with the potential presenter and coordinating event. Liaisons will also participate in planning and expanding the SOL Speaker Series to make sure it is available to all members regardless of geographic location. We are particularly interested in regional representation outside of the US and Canada.

    Sciences Historian
    The SFSCI Historian is responsible for researching and curating historical information about STARFLEET Sciences Auxiliary and managing an archive to document current Sciences activities, etc… The person in this position will also produce a written description of the Auxiliary’s history.

    Yeoman of the Director
    The Yeoman is to assist the Director of STARFLEET Sciences in the day-to-day operations such as:

    • Posting to social media platforms
    • Assisting in sending emails to arrange meetings with other Staff members of STARFLEET Sciences or anyone else in STARFLEET
    • Assist the Deputy Director if the Director is out for any reason
    • And anything else, as directed of the Director of STARFLEET Sciences
